Static Chicago Hip Hop 90’s Documentary by Blackout Productions
Proof that Chicago has a history in hip hop; that existed before Drill. Chicago rap artists were considered outcast for their love of Hip Hop in its infancy. Record labels outside rejected anything from Chicago that was hip hop, and Chicago labels rejected anything that wasn’t House. Several crews and groups planted many seeds to fertilize, water and protect the land-Chicago; while our counterparts would leave Chicago to chase their dreams in other markets. this video definitely doesn’t shine a light on all of the artists that were putting in major contributions, The BlackOut Family did grab up small but effective representation for the world to see.
