Producer Kenny Beats and Atlanta rapper Key! (who recently collaborated on the ‘777’ project) pulled up to Good Records to take the Rhythm Roulette challenge. KB tied a purple bandana over his eyes and selected three records: The Cure ‘Hoover,’ Robin Kenyatta’s ‘Gypsy Man,’ and The Rick Curtis Affair. After dropping the needle all over the place, he snatched a few fire breaks. “I got one thing from The Cure, and I got three off that crazy gypsy-looking dude with the blonde hair, but nothing really from the Sonny & Cher–looking guy. This one seems fire…” Kenny Beats, who has worked with A$AP Ferg, Ab Soul, Smoke DZA —to name a few—soon cooked up an ill trap beat for Key! to bless with some filet mignon bars.
