Guy Andrews – Against The Clock

Houndstooth composer Guy Andrews goes Against The Clock.

Guy Andrews took everyone by surprise this year with his Houndstooth debut Our Spaces, an album whose instrumental widescreen vistas were a far cry from the club tracks he previously made for Hotflush and Hemlock.

Andrews’ signature sound made for one of the most unusual Against The Clock sessions yet. Starting off with a sample played live on his guitar, Andrews adds instrumentation from his plug-ins and home-made presets, one of which is called “the pant-shitter”.

Andrews finished the track and sent it back to us saying: “I expanded on what I recorded in the original 10 minutes by adding two additional guitar parts, more strings, an additional synth and a brushed snare drum.” Listen here:
